FOLLOWING a successful early club night in 2023, a Bridgwater nightclub will once again open its doors earlier than usual for the older locals who want to combine the thrill of clubbing with the comfort of an early night.

The Palace Nightclub will host the over 50s only event on Thursday, February 1 from 6pm until 10pm.

Entry costs £3 per person and includes the cloakroom fee so you can safely store your winter coat ready for when you leave.

Music accompanying the early club night will include Motown and Northern Soul from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

The event follows an extremely well received early club night at The Palace in November 2023.

More than 200 over 60s turned up to the event, which finished at 9pm.

Rachael Lilley, local councillor and co-owner of The Palace with her husband Clive, said: "It was an amazing event. Seeing how much fun the 200 or so guests had on the night, and all the wonderful comments we’ve had since, we are definitely considering making it a more regular thing in the New Year.

One 87-year-old attendee said it was the best evening's fun she'd had for so very many years.
