DESPITE a slight reduction in pubs in recent years, Bridgwater is one of Somerset's hotspots for a perfect pour.

Last week, the Mercury asked readers to name their favourite pubs to include in our ultimate pub crawl, and a few names came up more often than others.

So, as Saturday night approaches, here are the pubs you voted for to be included in the best Bridgwater pub crawl.

The Cobblestones

One of Bridgwater locals' favourites - outdoor seating, live music, cheap pints - what's not to like?

Bunch of Grapes

This pub was voted as the Bridgwater Mercury Pub of the Year 2023 by readers. The perfect spot to watch the football or rugby.

The Cornhill

Recent refurbishment works have only elevated the atmosphere of this Bridgwater boozer. With a beer garden equipped with TVs and heaters, as well as great offers on food and drink, this is not one to miss.

The Fountain

With a scenic location along the River Parrett, this pub was one of the most voted for. The traditional inn is a favourite among locals, and even sells books for the more distinguished among us.

Lime Kiln Inn

This cosy spot prides itself on being a traditional British pub. With a pool table, TVs showing live sport, and a range of craft beers, you won't want to skip this one.

Bar Brunel

A unique bar offering mainly cocktails and wines, often with live music to enjoy. The buzzing atmosphere of this spot will spur you on to your next location if an espresso martini doesn't already give you enough of a lift.

The Golden Ball

Get your dancing shoes on and head over to The Golden Ball. It features a dancefloor on the first floor, TVs, and a range of beers and ciders.

1921 Coffee House and Events Bar

Looking for a touch of class on your pub crawl? This exciting new addition to St Mary Street provides a clean, modern feel and serves a range of cocktails, as well as draught beer and cider.

Bar 27

Another frequent mention from our readers. This bar offers just about everything, from lagers, wines, and cocktails to sensational food such as burgers, chips, and nachos.

The Carnival Inn

What pub crawl would be complete without a visit to Spoons? Dirt cheap prices, tasty food, and ample space - a great way to round off the night. Its toilets were even recently hailed as the best in town by the Loo of the Year Awards.
