FOXES and Ferrets were in top form playing away against Ruggerites in Division One of the Puriton and District Skittles League.

They sent down hands of 78, 77, 85, 94, 77, 87 and 77 for a total of 575 pins, with every player hitting two or more spares.

Sean Woodward top-scored with 83 but Mat Parsons for Ruggerites hit four spares in his hand of 84 to be top score of the week.

Woolavington Boys, playing away at Victoria, finished with four spares in their last hand to hit 92 and pull 30 pins to win by 12 pins.

Old Railway and Irregulars both lost for first time in the league this season.

Railway went down away to Farmer Boys by 12 while Irregulars lost on all seven hands at home.

Turkeys beat them by 51 pins, Mike Cox doing the damage with three spares in his hand of 77.
