THE weather claimed this week’s fixture before it had a chance to get underway, as rain close to the start of the meeting left the track in an unfit state.
Despite hard work by the track staff, following an inspection and discussion between both teams and the referee, there was no alternative but to call the meeting off.
Somerset Rebels ‘Speedway Riders Equipment Fund’ (SREF) organisers have laid on a coach to the Premier League Fours at Peterborough on Sunday (July 15).
Di Phillips, of SREF, has asked that all fans travelling on the coach should be at the Oak Tree Arena for 7.15 am at the very latest, as the coach will leave at 7.30 am sharp.
You are welcome to bring any refreshments you require, but under no circumstances will any alcohol be allowed on the coach.
