Somerset One
North Petherton II 29, Chard II 7
NORTH Petherton II recorded their eleventh victory of the season to ensure they keep the pressure on the division's leading sides.
Chard took charge of the game's opening exchanges, but it was Pethy who broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when number eight Toby Harris bundled his way over for an unconverted try.
Jim Longhurst powered over for a second shortly after the break and the hosts extended their lead through winger Chad Lowrie - Dan Pearce added the conversion.
Harris rounded off proceedings with his second of the afternoon as Pethy completed an emphatic victory.
Chard added a consolation try late on, but that was to be their only joy of the afternoon.
