BRIDGWATER and Albion head coach Kevin Innalls is hoping that his side can build on last season’s strong finish when the new campaign gets under way in the autumn.

Innalls will be joined again next season by skills and backs coach Simon Martin and ex-Bristol prop Darren Crompton, who will coach the forwards.

Simon Ranson will come in to take charge of the club’s second team.

Albion finished in ninth position in South West 1 West last season, three places above the drop zone.

Three wins from their final four games was enough to keep them in the division.

After a shaky start to last season, Inalls was pleased with his side’s form in the latter half of the season and hopes they can carry this into the next campaign.

He said: “Last year we had come off the back of a relegation and the club wasn’t in a very good place, but we started to rebuild and managed to stay up.

“Towards the end of the season we were competing with the top sides so we are looking to finish in the top four next season.”

The squad will be back in for pre-season training from July 2 and Inalls is hoping to add some fresh faces to his squad in the coming months.

He added: “We’ve managed to build our squad back up in the last year and we are working hard to bring in some new players for next season.”
