Enmore Park Seniors began a very busy week with back to back home fixtures.

First up was hosting the Saunton Seniors for part two of the annual Slocombe trophy contest.

Enmore performed gallantly with, appropriately, Merv Slocombe with partner Ray Hancock leading the way with a fine win by 4and3.

Also recording this score was the pair of Kelvin Tuthill with Chris Sammons, whilst Mike Cavill with Steve Lukins won by 3and2.

Derek Kelly with John Earp were two up and captain Mike Perry, with Jim Potticary were one up giving Enmore a victory by five matches to three. However Saunton retained the trophy as a result of a win on their course by eight matches to none, giving them overall advantage.

Next day saw the Isle of Wedmore visit Enmore and for the home side it was a case of top and tail, with the first group of Ray Hancock with Paul Waplington recording a fine 5and3 victory whilst the final pairing of Roger Anniss with Iain Stewart managed to half their match.

Sadly pairs two to seven all registered losses giving the visitors a comprehensive win by six and a half matches to one and a half.
