Sydenham Rubies 25, Abbey 48
RUBIES started strong and fought hard in the first quarter with some good feeding into the attacking circle.
Abbey stayed ahead with some excellent shooting to end the quarter 12-7 up.
Rubies continued to fight hard in the third quarter with some good play coming up the court, however, the Abbey attack pushed hard and extended their lead to 20-36 by the end of the quarter.
A final rally from Rubies in the last quarter was not enough to pull back the scoreline.

Emeralds 7, Spears 53
EMERALDS had a tough game against Spears but kept their heads and never gave up.
The defence worked tirelessly but Spears were too strong with their accurate shooting.
Player of the match was Tilly Milburn.

Sapphires 42, Wyndham 50
THIS match was nailbiting right until the end.
With good team play, Sapphires led the first quarter by one goal 14-13.
The match was consistent for both teams, with alternate goals being scored and at half-time Sapphires still only led by one goal 26-25.
Nic Hale, Rheanne Lee and Kerry Clark made it hard work for Wyndham attack with many interceptions.
Mikki Hole and Katie Ball brought the ball down well to the shooters Laura Coombes and Lynne Cornish who did not miss.
In the last quarter, Wyndham pulled away to win by eight points.
