WEMBDON Cricket Club have been awarded the Ladbrokes Merit Trophy for Somerset Club of the Year.
On November 8, the club also attended the West of England Dinner where they collected their Somerset Premier League Champions Trophy.
On top of that, first wicketkeeper Richard Eckley picked up the award for leading wicketkeeper in the whole of WEPL.
The club have just been notified that Dan Bingham will also pick up the Taunton & District Sunday League Division A Batting Award at Decembers Awards Evening in Taunton.
As of next season, Sam Puddy will take over the reigns as 1st XI Captain with Rich Eckley as Vice.
Carwyn Jenkins continues as 2nd XI captain, while Robert Paull steps up a grade as 3rd XI captain - Keith Futcher takes over as 4th XI captain whilst Tash Puddy and Sam Mirto will joint captain the Ladies XI for another season.
Planning for the step up in 2014 are going well, pre-season friendlies arranged, winter nets booked, team transport for away trips organised and big strides forward with the new £2million ground in the heart of Wembdon.
