BRIDGWATER Town’s Nathan Rudge has urged his teammates to continue their impressive away form when they travel to Swindon Supermarine tonight and Yate Town on Saturday.

The Robins have taken 11 points from 18 on the road this season, and Rudge, now player/assistant manager, hopes to add a further six in the next five days.

He said: “We’ve played pretty well recently and played well again the other night.

“We’ve played better away from home than at Fairfax Park this season, so we’ll look to put in two good performances this week.”

Bridgwater travel to 16th placed Swindon Supermarine tonight (Tuesday) before a trip to tenth placed Yate on Saturday, and Rudge said: “We’re playing two sides around us in the league, which can be tough games.

“Sometimes it’s easier to play the bigger sides – when you play teams around you you have to create your own atmosphere and intensity, but we’re confident of doing that.

“We’ve just got to put as many points on the board as quickly as possible.

“It’s not about being in the play-offs at the moment – it’s about being in and around the top ten, and hoping you can make a push for them later on.”

Bridgwater Town will be without Dean Griffiths and Kyle Tooze through suspension after they were sent off in the FA Trophy clash at Egham Town.
