Bridgwater 'A' 2, Shepton Mallet 'A' 5

THE early cobwebs were off quickly as Shepton started the brighter hitting on the counter and Bayley Chatwin just could not get down quick enough to stop the ball going in.

Bridgwater started to gel together and a fast break from Chris Dart saw him lay off the ball to Tim Sullivan who crossed for Steve Turvey to slot in under the keeper.

Bridgwater were spurred on by their goal and quickly took the lead as Dan Pigden and Phil Morrish combined to feed Tim Sullivan again who passed to Rich Payne.

Payne's shot at goal was well saved but Steve Turvey's goalpoaching instinct gave him his second from close range 2-1.

But a poor second half saw Shepton Mallet level the scores and then score three further goals to dominate proceedings and win 5-2.

Man of the match was shared between an impressive Rob Morrish and Bayley Chatwin whose saves kept Bridgwater in the game for long periods.
