OPENERS S Morrish (eight) and J Lowe (48) batted sensibly hitting very few loose balls leading the team to the 10th over for 27 runs.

J Prior (21) helped to move the score on with further runs from R Morrish (10) but a flurry of wickets left Wembdon on 120-5.

A Rees (29) and D Buller (7) pushed on the scoring with the tail forcing some singles as the team closed on 169-9.

In reply, D Morrish (1-26) took the first wicket with a solid catch from J Syvret. M Syvret (0-14) bowled tightly with Rees (2-26) and D Buller (1-22) also chipping in with the wickets.

With Timberscombe needing 7.5 an over from the last 15 overs they had a good middle stand that was broken when Goss finally got a wicket. However Timberscombe continued to fight and needed five an over from the last five.

Rees bowled a tight final two overs and a good boundary catch by R Morrish which got one of the two big hitters that Timberscombe had.

D Morrish ran out the batter that Wembdon wanted in the final over with Timberscombe needing four from four balls which soon became two from the last ball.

The final ball produced a run out meaning Wembdon won.
