Bridgwater college footballers crowned Somerset Schools winners
Bridgwater College have been crowned Somerset Schools and Colleges Cup winners following their 7-1 victory over Backwell School.
They took the lead inside two minutes thanks to an excellent cross by Chelsea Pitt finished well by Devon Rich.
The pressure continued throughout the first half with Backwell rarely being able to threaten the Bridgwater goal. Further goals in the first half by Devon Rich, Shannon Osman and a hat-trick by Chelsea Pitt gave Bridgwater a 6-0 score-line at half-time.
Backwell looked a deflated side but, on 60 minutes they managed to pull a goal back. But Bridgwater responded again and eventually scored their seventh goal with a header from Chloe Stringer.
