Bridgwater Town continued their preparations for the new season with a 2-1 win against Cullompton Rangers at Fairfax Park.
Goals from Jamie Howson and the impressive Sean Kenny gave Bridgwater a 2-0 lead at the break, and although Cullompton halved the deficit in the second half, they rarely threatened an equaliser.
Monday night’s clash saw several substitutions in the second half, and Howson came closest to extending Bridgwater’s lead, but the keeper saved well with his feet.
Town say Friday’s friendly match at home to Street will now kick off at 7pm, instead of the advertised 7.45pm, because of a minor floodlight problem.
