Jupiter 39, Claremont 40.

IN the first quarter both teams were evenly matched but Claremont’s tall shooter received some well fed passes and they led 11-6.

At the end of the second quarter Claremont remained ahead by just five goals but Jupiter capitalised on interceptions made by Zoë Ingram (WD).

The third quarter saw Jupiter pulling together and great passes into the circle by Rachael Onions (C) and Amy Shaw (WA) were taken advantage of by Rachael Selway (GS) to cut the lead to one.

Jupiter continued to fight in the final quarter with Rosie Hill (GA) finding the net but Claremont Jupiter battled hard but unfortunately Claremont stole the lead as the whistle blew.

Players of the match were Zoë Ingram (WD) and Rosie Hill (GA).

Neptune 36, Robins 39.

NEPTUNE were hoping for a win against Bruton side Robins.

In the first quarter Neptune were goal for goal but couldn’t manage to pull ahead at any point.

Emily Rowland (WD) displayed great defensive play and score at the end of the first quarter was 9-9.

In the second quarter Neptune produced good centre court play from Chris Durant (C) which enabled the shooters to put away crucial goals and they were 18-17 up at half-time.

Neptune remained one ahead into the final quarter but Robins manged to pull ahead and sneak a narrow win.

Neptune’s player of the match was Emily Rowland.

The U-14s maintained their unbeaten record while the other teams – two U-13s and three U-12s – had mixed success with some good performances.
