BRIDGWATER Town Reserves got off to a flier in the Somerset County League on Saturday, beating Hengrove Athletic Reserves 4-1.
Bridgwater were relegated to Division 1 last season, but made a statement of their intent to return to the Premier Division with an emphatic win at Fairfax Park.
The hosts had three goals inside 21 minutes, as Lee Begg, Cameron Birch and Lewis Hembery all netted.
And a second-half strike from Finley Wilkinson wrapped things up.
Back in action this Saturday, Bridgwater travel to Mendip Broadwalk (ko 3pm).

Due to so many large cracks in the pitch, it is not safe enough to play on.
As frustrating as this maybe, it is vitally important to consider the safety of all players and officials.
Zoy Reserves, promoted to the league for this season, were unfortunate losers at Nailsea United Reserves in Division 3.
The visitors created chances aplenty, but could not convert them, and were beaten 1-0.
This Saturday, Zoy travel to Stockwood Green, while their Reserves are at home to Tunley Athletic.
