First leg
Blake Bears 66, Butleigh 56
BLAKE Bears came out winners in their second game of the season.
Butleigh arrived short of players, so in true Sunday sprit two sides were made up and the game was played in front of a good crowd.
Showing speed, skills and superb set pieces, the forwards enjoyed many a well-contested scrum, while Jeff Thompson made some great runs up the middle.
The try scorers were L. Williams (3), M. Winter (2), L. Hucker (1), C. Crompton (2) and J. Thompson (1).
Bears’ next game is away to Somerton this Sunday, October 15 (1pm).
