SOMERSET lost to Sussex by seven wickets in a rain-affected game in the Royal London Cup at the County Ground today.

The Cidermen made 193-8 from 33 overs, Colin Ingram top scoring with 72.

Sussex replied with 189-3 from 29 of their designated 33 overs when rain called a halt. Jack Leach took 2-21 in seven overs.

Most of the other matches in the competition were washouts so Somerset remain in second place in Group B behind Kent.
