IN ANOTHER action-packed weekend, Flag Old Boys hammered Bath City Junior Youth 7-0 in the Somerset Cup First Round, thanks to four goals from Ashley Mills.

Samuel Godfrey and Chris Chase also netted for Flag.

Also in the cup, GT Sports beat Blake OB 5-2; Aaron Dennis and Josh Speed scored the consolation goals for Blake.

In Division One of the Uxella League, Red Tile were comfortable 5-2 victors over New Foresters, with Jack Taylor scoring a hat trick.

Grasshoppers won a nine-goal thriller with Pawlett Rebels 5-4, with Adam Knight netting four times for the visitors.

Ryan Williams (2), Darryl Taylor and Lewis Hembery scored Pawlett’s goals, before James O’Brien scored the winner for Grasshoppers.

In Division Two, Knowle beat Willow Green 5-1 thanks to braces from Pete Boot and Dale Curtis.

Also in the division, a hat trick from David Baker propelled ROF to a 10-1 thrashing of Red Tile Reserves.

Wayne Spencer (2), matthew Brewer, Vincent Kennedy and Craig Matthews completed the scoring for ROF, while Ronnie Robilliard scored Red Tile’s only goal.

Finally, Cobbelstones beat North Petherton 5-2, with goals from Marcus Butler (2), Jamie Merrick, Samuel Lewis and Steve Haste adding the rest. Jason mantyk and Lloyd Beacham bagged the goals for Pethy.
