Morganians 22, Wyvern 17
MORGANIANS recorded their first win of the season with a superb 22-17 win over Wyvern.
Playing a team four places above them and with three key players missing, the team showed huge determination.
The first try was from a 10 metre push over try from Matt Neale who showed great promise at the back of the scrum, James Cox narrowly missed the conversion.
Wyvern responded with a try but Morgs fought back and fly half Will Hopkins gathered a chip ahead and scored under the post, which was converted by James Cox.
In the second half James Fox converted a penalty before Wyvern scored a try to almost take the game away from Morgs.
But the home side had the final say with Will Hopkins again finding gaps in the Wyvern defence went through for James Fox to add the extras.
Morgs are away to Bridgwater & Albion on Saturday. Kick-off is 2.30pm.
