FROM BFGs to Oompa Loompas – Hamp Academy was taken over by Roald Dahl characters during the national Dahlicious Dress Up day.
Pupils dressed as characters from books including The Twits, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and The Enormous Crocodile.
They also took part in a range of curricular activities linked to Roald Dahl’s books, such as creating and describing new characters and measuring and making their very own “marvellous medicines”. Rob Gammon, head teacher at Robert Blake Science College, popped in to judge the contestants and the lucky first and second prize winners took home Wonka & Marvellous Creations’ chocolate bars.
