STUDENTS dreaming of making it in the music industry enjoyed an inspirational visit from two talented young artists.
Bristol-born rapper Frenzee was joined by singer/songwriter Drew Wedlake for a visit to Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater.
Frenzee, who grew up on the streets of St Pauls in Bristol, told students how he decided, aged 14, to leave crime behind and become a music star.
Drew performs regularly in Bristol and has been likened to Ed Sheeran.
Both performed songs written by Chilton Trinity students at the end of a year nine song writing workshop.
Head of music Graeme Wright said: "Frenzee and Drew captured the attention, imagination, and enthusiasm of the Chilton Trinity students, spanning all year groups from years 7 to 11. He was a particular hit with many of the year 10 and 11 girls.
"Frenzee's message was about aspiration, determination to succeed, and motivating others to express themselves and their feelings through song.
"Frenzee's music spoke from the heart and by working closely with both year 9 and 10 students delivering workshops on song writing, he encouraged them to do the same.
"Some of the songs written were exceptional. He was also talking to them about his experience of trying to break into the music industry and what it is like to deal with knock-backs.
“The students left understanding fully how his passion for inspiring others, and for performing music drove him on to be the best he could be."
