BRIDGWATER KFC has been forced to close due to a nationwide problem of getting chicken delivered to restaurants.

The store closed just after 2pm today (February 17) and staff put a notice on the door which told customers the store was closed due to 'supply chain issues'. 

It is rumoured KFC stores in Yeovil, Wincanton and Glastonbury have also been forced to close after a hiccup with deliveries meant the stores ran out of chicken.

A spokesman for Bridgwater's KFC store, said: "Sorry to any inconvenience this has occurred to anyone, KFC in Bridgwater is closed until further notice as we’re having supply chain issues.

"We will keep you updated and from the KFC team we express our apology and hope to be open as soon as possible."
