Fire crews called to home near Bridgwater
A FIRE crew was called to a home near Bridgwater after reports of a chimney fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting a chimney fire in Puriton shortly after 5.30pm yesterday (January 6).
One pump from Bridgwater was sent by fire control, and on arrival the officer in charge confirmed there to be a fire within the chimney area of the property.
Crews used a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was out before leaving it safe and in the hands of the occupier.
