A MAN driving a car with a blacked out window pulled up alongside a 12-year-old girl in a suspicious incident in North Petherton.
Police have issued an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident in Charolais Drive at around 8.10pm on Tuesday, August 22.
During the incident, a man got out of the vehicle and placed his hand on the wrist of the girl. Nothing was said.
The girl screamed and ran off and the man got back in the van and drove off towards the Wilstock Housing Estate.
The man in the image is black, in his 30s, with Afro style hair and a beard.
The van was black with blacked out rear windows and an up-and-over opening boot door.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We’re still trying to trace a specific witness described as a woman with curly white hair, wearing a long green skirt and who may have been walking with a small white dog in the area.
"If you can help us ID the witness or the man in this e-fit, please call us on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5217192534."
