THE M5 was partially closed after a vehicle fire near Bridgwater halted traffic.
Firefighters were called at around 9.30pm yesterday (August 6) to J23 and J24 of the M5 after reports of a vehicle fire.
One appliance from Bridgwater and one from Taunton attended the incident.
On arrival, crews confirmed there was a vehicle which was well alight.
Crews closed the carriageway to undertake firefighting.
The vehicle was extinguished using two breathing apparatus wearers and two hose reel jets.
The vehicle was 90 per cent damaged by fire and the cause was accidental.
Duty of care was left with the police.
