MEMBERS of the Bridgwater and Taunton College's 999 Academy were invited to the National Police Dog Trials at the Avon and Somerset Police Headquarters.
The students had been invited by Sue Mountstevens, the Police and Crime Commissioner for the force.
They got to meet some of the dogs and their handlers, and were lucky enough to spend time with a very young new recruit, Belle.
Owen Cheffey, who wants to join the Police as a Dog Handler, said it was interesting to see how the dogs performed.
He said it has made him even more determined to apply to the force once he finishes his Public Services degree at Bridgwater & Taunton College.
