CHILDREN and staff from Otterhampton Primary School in Combwich, Bridgwater, put on their eye patches and put on their best pirate accents for the international Talk Like a Pirate day.
On September 19, all the classes and staff members dressed up to take part in some nautical nonsense and pirate based learning.
Nick Benbow, headteacher, said: "It was great fun.
"We thought it would be a good idea to take part in Talk Like a Pirate day, especially at the beginning of the year.
"We have held this day for the last two years and it's great to get involved in learning about the pirates.
"The children and staff all enjoyed themselves."
