A MAN accused of causing damage to his partner’s mobile phone and house at Ilminster has appeared before a special domestic violence court.
Joseph Lindsay Arnold, 24, of Potterton House, Bridgwater, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a door and phone belonging to Yarlington and his partner during the incident on May 30.
Prosecutor Joanne Pearce said that there was an argument between the couple and damage was allegedly caused to the front door and a mobile phone.
However Somerset Magistrates were told that the defendant claimed the damage to the door was pre-existing and he had also not damaged the phone.
A review of the case was carried out and the allegation was adjourned until October 3 when Arnold was ordered to return to the court at Yeovil to stand trial.
Until then he was released on unconditional bail.
