WORKS have now finished repairing a gas pipe in Bridgwater.
There was a gas leak on the A39 Quantock road but the works were finished earlier today.
The leak was on Quantock Road near the Skimmerton Lane junction.
Stephen Pitman, Wales & West Utilities area engineering manager for South West England said:
“We have finished work to repair a leak on a gas pipe on A39 Quantock Road near the junction with Skimmerton Lane on the outskirts of Bridgwater and the road is back to normal.
“We appreciate working on this road was inconvenient – and we appreciate the understanding of road users while we repaired the leak.
“If anyone smells gas, thinks they have a gas leak, or suspects carbon monoxide poisoning, they should call us on 0800 111 999 and our engineers will be there to help, day or night.”
