A trail of blood left behind by a would-be thief at a Bridgwater recycling site has highlighted the double dangers of theft say Somerset Waste Partnership.
The double risks to life and liberty from trying to steal from Somerset recycling sites were shown recently after staff at the recycling centre arrived one morning to discover pools of blood in one of its skips.
Someone had sustained a severe injury and "bled copiously" at Bridgwater Recycling Centre but there was no sign of the injured person.
Anyone with information about recycling site crime - or who knows anything about the person injured at Bridgwater Recycling Centre - is urged to call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
