OTHERY Street Fayre celebrated its 25th year of fun on Saturday with plenty going on throughout the day.

The street fair, which raises money for St Michael’s Church, has been run by a group of volunteers for 26 years.

Mervyn Winslade, one of the volunteers said: “It was a great day and luckily the weather held out for us.

“We’ve been going for 26 years now but this was our 25th Street Fayre.

“We had to miss one year because of a nearby outbreak of foot and mouth.

“It was really successful and I think everyone enjoyed what was on offer.

“We rely a lot on people who turn out to help on the day so we’re grateful to everyone that did. We hope people will enjoy next year’s street fair which is planned to take place on June 18.”
