THESE are the winners of the popular 2012 Pet Factor competition run by the Bridgwater Mercury.

The overall winner of the competition was Carly Hutchings, from Taunton, whose dog Bertie was crowned the champion pet.

Second in the dogs category was Pauline Webber of North Petherton, with her dog Lola, while Nikki Lloyd and Olly of Bridgwater were third.

Julie Holley and Mr Darcy of Taunton won first prize in the cats category while Vince Davey of Highbridge won the ‘other’ category with his goat Heidi.

The competition was sponsored by Pampurredpets, Barking Heads, Companion Vets, Unwin Photography, Taunton Racecourse, Watermarque, Wookey Hole and Alpha Trophies.
