Catherine Wells-Burr murder: two appear in court

THE former boyfriend of Somerset graduate Catherine Wells-Burr has appeared in court charged with conspiring to murder her.

Rafal Nowak, 31, of Willow Way, Chard, appeared in the dock at Bristol Crown Court this morning (Tuesday 9) along with Anna Lagwinowicz, 32, of South Street, Taunton, who faces the same charge.

The body of Catherine, 23, was discovered in a burned-out car next to the A358 at Ashill, near Ilminster, on September 12.

Mr Nowak and Ms Lagwinowicz did not enter pleas during the brief hearing and were remanded in custody. A provisional trial date was set for April 2013.
