TWO top basketball players have been awarded scholarships in Bridgwater College’s Sports Academy programme.

Adam Lewis, captain of the Basketball Academy, and Jack Roberts have both been successful with their applications to the new Sports Academy scholarship programme the College started this year.

Jack proved his high level of skill on the court where he has top scored in recent victories in the opening season and Adam continues to lead by example with his high standards during training and games.

Richard Anderson, performance director of the Basketball Academy said: “We are delighted to have both Adam and Jack on the roster this year. I am confident they will be great role models for the Sports Academy and the entire Basketball programme.

“The scholarship will enable both players to focus on their game and be confident that associated costs involved in playing Basketball at a high level will be supported by us.”

The Bridgwater College Basketball Academy play their home matches on Wednesday afternoons at Bridgwater College sports hall, tip off at 2pm.
