COMMITTED fundraisers hope to kick pancreatitis into touch by taking part in a John O'Groats to Land's End charity cycle ride.

Daniel James, Tom Brown and James Walpole will be tackling the famous challenge over ten days to raise money for the Pancreatitis Research charity.

The trio hope to raise between £1,500 and £2,000 for the charity, and have been sponsored by Taunton store Party On?.

Store owner Benjamin Arnold, Dave White and Aaron Lake will support the challengers by providing maintenance throughout the trip.

They held a static six-hour bike ride using exercise cycles outside the store on Saturday and their efforts raised £352 towards the target.

Benjamin said: “Despite the rain, the day went very well.

“It's very gruelling to do six-hours straight on one of those bikes but it is good preparation for the John O'Groats to Land's End ride.”
