BUDDING journalists were introduced to the media world thanks to a day held at the YMCA in Bridgwater.
Somerset Rural Youth Project held a day in partnership with Sounds Positive to give young people an insight into how television, radio, newspapers and the internet work.
John Addicott, senior youth worker at SRYP, said: “All too often teenagers are given a negative portrayal in the media, so this is a great opportunity for teens to fight their corner, speak their mind on issues that they feel are important and at the same time to challenge the negative stereotypes that so many young people are labelled with.”
