Bridgwater's Blake Museum has re-opened to the public with several displays, including “Romans in Somerset.”
The town’s mayor and mayoress, Bill Monteith and Lynn Bussell, were the first to see the museum officially reopening.
Volunteer Ashley Hale, 22, who has organised the Roman exhibit, said: “The mayor and mayoress were the first to look around the museum. They were very enthusiastic and asked a lot of questions.
“A lot of effort has been put into making this newest exhibit something to try to inspire people to come to the museum.”
The exhibit, which features artefacts and a replica of Roman armour, will run until May. The museum is open from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
