STUDENTS from Robert Blake Science College took a trip to Helwell Bay for a hands-on investigative project.
The bay, which has the second highest tidal range in the world, was an ideal site for the ELBS students to gather data.
After an informative presentation by Nic from the Field Studies Council at Nettlecombe, the students used cross staffs, line transects and quadrants to sample how the flora and fauna changed as we went inshore.
The results collected supported the hypothesis and Nic stated the group were more motivated and focused than A-level students who visit the Bay.
