THE funeral of Bridgwater solider Adrian Templer saw a full military procession in Bridgwater this morning.
As hundreds of people looked on, the solemn military men marched up St Mary’s Street towards the church, slowly followed by a car carrying the 29-year-old father of one.
A guard of honour was held outside St Mary’s Church before family and other mourners took their seats. S Sgt Templer’s coffin, draped in the Union Flag, was then carried into the church for the funeral service.
After the service, the procession continued up the High Street before a private burial at Quantock Road Cemetery.
A staff sergeant with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, the ‘Adie’ died when his motorcycle collided with a heavy goods vehicle near Shepton Mallet last Tuesday morning.
