A SPECTACULAR firework display crowned a rousing concert by rhythm and blues legend Jools Holland in Taunton this evening.
Thousands of people crowded into Vivary Park to enjoy the performance by Jools and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra with support from Dave Edmunds and David Myles.
The 'Boogie Woogie Queen', Ruby Turner, belted out a superb set with the power of her voice bringing everyone to their feet.
Last time Jools took to the Vivary Park stage, in 2007, the superb weather was a rare blessing in a summer of rain and this year the concert was again played out in dry, if blustery weather.
The infectious rhythms of the songs, performed by some of the world's most accomplished musicians, created a vibrant but relaxed atmosphere among the crowd, many of whom had brought lavish picnics for the occasion.
