FIRE crews have just winched a man out of the River Parrett in Bridgwater.
The man, who police say is a 32-year-old from the Bridgwater area, reportedly jumped into the river shortly after 2.30pm.
All three emergency services were called and fire crews led a dramatic rescue operation, watched by hundreds of people on Town Bridge.
The man was reportedly lifted out of the water just after 3pm. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
