THE NEW Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Bridgwater at the next election, Ashley Fox, has reacted to new figures detailing employment levels since the pandemic.
The data from the Office of National Statistics shows an increase of over 1.1 million people in payrolled employment since the start of the pandemic.
Ashley said: "These figures are very welcome.
"They show the progress the Conservative government is making as we work to halve inflation, grow the economy and reduce debt.
"Since February 2020, our economy has grown faster than France and Germany.
"Earnings are now rising faster than prices and unemployment remains low.
"We are taking the long-term decisions needed to secure a brighter economic future."
