THE fire service are currently tackling a barn fire at Greylake, Middlezoy.
At about 5.33pm two fire engines and a water carrier from Bridgwater were sent to the scene.
On their arrival the barn was well alight and asked for further assistance.
A further fire engine from Street, an incident support unit from Taunton and command support unit from Ilminster were also sent.
All animals and livestock made it out of the barn safely, a fire spokesman said.
The barn measures approx 15m x 15m, with about ten tonnes of hay and one tractor inside.
Crews are currently at work with three main jets and breathing apparatus.
