SPAXTON swings into life this Saturday (December 1) at 7.30pm with a festive ceilidh to support Penrose Special Needs School at the Village Hall.
Hobson's Choice, a four-piece group from Somerset, plus renowned caller Ron Rudd, will provide an energetic blend of traditional music and dance for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
The festive fundraiser will also feature a licensed bar from 7pm, with money gained from the event going towards Penrose School.
Roger Collett, organiser of the event, said: "Put on your dancing shoes, clogs, slippers, hob-nail boots, winkle pickers or whatever and dance the evening away whilst supporting Penrose School."
Tickets for the event cost £6 for adults or £3 for children under 16 and are available from Spaxton Post Office, on the door or by calling 01278-451187.
