A Bridgwater man is beginning a six year sentence today after DNA science convicted him of a rape 14 years ago.
On Monday, October 15, Geoffrey Godfrey, aged 42, was convicted at Bristol Crown Court of rape, attempted serious sexual assault and indecent assault.
He was sentenced to six years for rape and, running concurrently, three years nine months for serious sexual assault and three years for indecent assault.
