Eight talented trampolinists from Haygrove School are heading over the water in March to compete in the National Schools Trampoline Championships which are being held in Northern Ireland.

Molly Turner, Jayme Love and Grace Williams will travel with the rest of the U15 Girls Novice Team after each performed excellently at the recent Southern Zonal Schools competition.

Jayme and Grace were both placed second in their classes, Molly took third place in her class and the combined efforts of the U15 girls team meant they brought the silver trophy home to Haygrove.

A Haygrove spokesman said: "However, it was Year 9 youngster and the school’s stand-out male trampolinist, Leighton Goodison-Crisp, whose performance wowed the judges and earnt him the coveted first place trophy in the U15 Boys Novice competition."

In total 13 students from Haygrove took part in the Southern Zonal Championships; Ashley Millar, Katherine Groves, Mia Fursland, Molly Pickles, Ella O'Grady and Ella Richards put in creditable performances against strong opposition, but will need to wait another year to see if they can qualify at the national level.
