THE United Reform Church of Bridgwater hosted an exhibition of memorabilia earlier this month (June).
The exhibition related to the Fore Street Congregational Church which closed in 1964.
Karen Rossiter was the link person on the URC site and Peter Redding carried out a lot of research and selected items from the county records office at Taunton.
Bridgwater born Rev Ken Trunks, a retired congregational minister, came from Falmouth for the exhibition.
Ken had an illustrious career in the Church including meeting the Queen and the Prince of Wales on separate occasions.
One of the most interesting exhibits was a teapot and cups and saucers produced for the Zion Chapel, where George Williams was converted and later founded the YMCA nationally.
