THE people of Bridgwater turned out to celebrate Armed Forces Day at Angel Place shopping centre.
The event was held on June 25 from 9am until 4pm, with activities from the local Army and Sea Cadets.
There was face painting and free craft sessions, where youngsters were be able to design their own gliders and make medals.
The Army Cadets ran command task scenarios followed by a first aid scenarios throughout the day, as well as various fundraising games.
A spokesperson for Armed Forces Day said: "Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community- from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
"There are many ways for people, communities and organisations across the country to show their support and get involved, from attending an event or joining us online to throwing a party or local event.
"Later in the year, Reserves Day will also provide an opportunity for the country to recognise our Reserve Forces.
"For this year only, Reserves Day has been delayed until September 8."
