SCHOOLS across Bridgwater have been celebrating World Book Day in style.
East and West Huntspill primary schools, Somerset Bridge Primary School and Kingsmoor Primary School are among those who took part.
Pupils came into lessons dressed as a character from one of their favourite books, and literary themed activities were organised.
World Book Day aims to promote reading, publishing and stories and in the United Kingdom, the day is recognised on the first Thursday in March, which this year was March 3.
It is a celebration of authors, illustrators and books, marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
